Absentee Ballot Information

Applications for absentee ballots are available for New Rochelle registered voters who will not be able to vote in person on June 19, 2018. The application may be downloaded from our website or obtained in person at the office of the School District Clerk, Central Administration Building (City Hall), Second Floor, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801. The deadline for the School District Clerk to receive a completed absentee ballot application, if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, is June 12, 2018, 5:00 p.m. and June 18, 2018, 5:00 p.m. if the ballot is to be issued personally to the voter. Those voters who are already registered as Permanently Sick and Disabled with the Westchester County Board of Elections will automatically receive an absentee ballot from the office of the School District Clerk of the City School District of New Rochelle. Absentee ballots are expected to be ready approximately on Friday, June 8, 2018. All absentee ballots must be returned to the School District Clerk, 515 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801, no later than 5:00 p.m., on June 19, 2018 in order to be canvassed. Voter Eligibility
 
In order to be eligible to vote in the Annual School Board Election/Budget Vote of the City School District of New Rochelle on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, a qualified voter must be registered under permanent registration with the Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas Street, White Plains, NY 10601, as of June 5, 2018.
 
If not already registered to vote, qualified voters may register directly with the Westchester County Board of Elections. Visit http://citizenparticipation.westchestergov.com/voting/register-to-vote to download and complete the appropriate NYS Voter Registration Form, and return it to the Westchester County Board of Elections.
 
If not registered to vote with the Westchester County Board of Elections, qualified persons may also appear in person during the School District’s Personal Registration of Voters on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Board Conference Room, Second Floor, Central Administration (City Hall), 515 North Ave. in New Rochelle.
 
NOTE:

If you are a registered voter in New Rochelle and have recently moved within the city limits, and if you have not yet provided your updated address information to the Westchester County Board of Elections, you may vote in Tuesday’s School Board Election and Budget Vote in the School Election District in which you are registered. You will be required to fill out a change-of-address form with election inspectors at that site.
